Aoki. Hello everyone, I am Aoki Jun, born in 1981 in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. In 2000, I moved to Tokyo because of my studies. Now I am staying in Tokyo to participate in various video-related projects. .
——So, we started to ask questions from the experience of Aoki Supervisor. When did you sing an animation? .
Aoki. Impressions may not be that deep, but I like to watch TV animations since I was a child. I remember more clearly, “Saint Seiya”, “Giganto (Third)”, “Dragon Ball” and so on. .
——When did it start to animate? .
Aoki. When I was still in the second year of the Department of Design Science at the Tokyo University of the Arts, I started experimenting with my own animation because I listened to the short-term teaching of animation. In the class of teacher Furukawa, “Run!” “I made a hand-drawn animation work for the class.” .
This work was also well received in competitions outside the university, and I felt that I should be quite suitable for animation. .

Aoki. When I was in the second year of the school, I was still exploring the future direction. I liked oil paintings, illustrations and sculptures, but they were not mature. However, because the animation work received a high evaluation, there was work to find it, and more importantly, I was also animated in it, so I no longer hesitated and decided to take the animation as my own work. .
——After you graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, you set up your own company, Space Neko Company? How did you think about setting up your own company? .
Aoki. At that time, it was mainly because of the customer’s request that the contract was signed, which required the ability to have rights, so the Space Neko Company was established. At the same time, setting up your own company is also good for the taxation of your personal business. If you want to do this job for a long time, you can also become your own means of publicity. .
——Is not considering entering other animation companies or working in a game company? .
Aoki. Because my university has had a steady income during the school year and has also received a lot of work, it should be said that there is no choice for the employment of other companies.
——Before I saw some advertisements and short works made by Aoki Supervisor so far, both the style and the expression techniques are not the same as the current commercial animations. Before we interviewed Shao Xueqing, who was responsible for photography in “POP TEAM EPIC”, she also believed that “animation” does not mean moving pictures, but an art that uses pictures to express movement, which is invisible between frames and frames. Aoki. “The so-called animation”, this question is a bit difficult for me with shallow knowledge, but I look at it in my own style, more like sandwiching between the commercial animation that the animated audience often sees and the art animation of Shao said. Animation. Fortunately, my style often caters to the needs of some TV shows and commercials. .
—— In my opinion, the animation of “POP TEAM EPIC” is like a collection of these animations. It is quite fresh and interesting from the perspective of most viewers who like commercial animation. .
Aoki. Thank you. It is quite rare to use a variety of techniques in commercial animation. In a sense, it may be a collection of my personal style. .
—— So, next, we started to focus on POP TEAM EPIC. When the animation team first published it, the audience was most impressed by the fact that “there is almost no understanding of this list.” Even the Kamikaze animation is an animation studio with only a few people knowing and centering on 3DCG. At that time, it was basically the feeling that “all chapters would not be fully represented by 3DCG.” When I saw the “Series Director: Space Neko Company, Mei Mukui (Shenfeng Animation)” column, I went to search for the two supervised works. This is based on the planning intention of the producer of KING RECORDS, the producer of KING RECORDS. POP TEAM EPIC cannot re-set a fresh production team according to the production system of TV animations in the past. . .
——What is the opportunity to go to Aoki Supervisor to join the animation team of POP TEAM EPIC? .
Aoki. I originally had a relationship with the president of Kawasaki (淳平) of Kamikaze Animation, and he directly invited me. .
——Are you aware of the original comics before then? .
Aoki. I know that I know, but I haven’t read the original, and the deep impressions are the provocative pictures and LINE expressions seen on major social platforms. .
——When Aoki Supervisor participated, was the AC department responsible for Bobnemimimi selected to be in the team? .
Aoki. Yes, this is also the idea of President Kawasaki. The AC Department has been invited before I participated. .
—— That is to say, I have already decided to do animations like variety shows. That is to say, the “Yu Sanjia”, which is composed of Kamikaze Animation, Space Neko Company, and AC Department, is responsible for each part, and then it feels like a complete episode. .
Aoki. In the beginning of the planning, the singer of KING RECORDS and the president of Kasuga Animation, Mr. Mizusaki, have already confirmed the production of variety shows. .
As for the composition of each link and the creators of the selected roles, it was decided after I participated in the planning meeting. .
—— So, what part of the Space Neko Company was invited to invite the animators who graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts? .
Aoki Correct. Because the company is actually a small team with only two members. To achieve this complex work, we must increase the number of employees in the community. The best way to find a young person who is skilled and suitable for this project is to raise it through an acquaintance or a junior from Art University. .
——Aoki Supervisor also serves as the “series composition”. This “series composition” is not the same as the general commercial animation. Specifically? .
Aoki. First determine the content and playback order of the original story part of the 12-word, and then determine the order and configuration of the original composition, AC, singing and other components. .
At the same time, we supervised the other aspects of Kamikaze Animation, AC, Thibault Tresca (JAPON MiGNON), Yamashita (POP TEAM 8BIT), and Yamamoto Yuichi (the next episode). .

——In fact, I am particularly concerned about how to control all content within about 12 minutes, including OP and ED. It must be very difficult. .
Aoki. It’s been said by you, this is really hard work, and it’s not a long way to go! .
—— For example, is the time for each link decided at the beginning? The AC department also gives people a very self-conscious feeling, and does not say the style of painting, how is the time controlled? .
Aoki. First, only the links that have been determined for a long time, such as OP (90 seconds), the normal version of ED (90 seconds), and the AC part (maybe everyone will be very surprised, all parts are controlled at 30 seconds) !), the rest of the link is determined step by step according to the entire schedule. .
In the stage of Pre-production, according to the style of the creation of Kamikaze animation, all the links are first discussed with the image segmentation. Even so, there are still unexpected things happening, and finally I will be supervised. Part of the story is stuffed in. .
The final material for all the links will be in my hands, edited with the computer and exported. Therefore, at the end of the film, it was also marked “Edit: Aoki Pure”. .

——The vast majority of those stalks used in animation are considered by the original teacher Okawa, and how much? My teacher lives in Kansai and it is not easy to go back and forth every month. .
Aoki. There are two types of original stalks that do not exist in the original work. .
The first is the stalk in the short story. A large part of it is that the teacher provided the stalk that was revoked in the comics in the past. .
The story of the long stalk, first of all, including the ぶくぶ teacher and the Sudo producer, all the members of the production team thought about 12 words. Then the main scripter (Mr. Hiroshi Ichiro) and I will write a specific script, and based on the script, I will draw the composition mirror. .
ぶくぶ Teacher will be responsible for the supervision of all projects. There are so many comics to be serialized every week, and it is not easy to take a new trunk every month to travel. .
——What is your first impression of Mr. Qi? .
AokiIt is a very good young man. Then I am very fashionable. .
—— By the way, how many of those stalks can pass? How much is too much to pass? Is there a standard in this regard? .
Aoki. The spoof and rights relationship is completely handed over to the Sudo producers to judge. .

Aoki. This is also a very regrettable thing for me… But as a producer, I hope that everyone can believe that we did make that paragraph, and it was not my wish to be replaced by that image. This is a last resort. .
——When Aoki Supervisor joined the production team, he already knew that POP TEAM EPIC would be divided into A Part and Replay B Part? In my personal limited knowledge, this is probably the first time in the history of animation. However, I seem to have seen it again. I said that in the past, I have had such a compilation in NHK’s English-oriented early childhood education program. After the broadcast, I will replay it immediately. I don’t know if I realize this kind of compilation. In China, there is probably a sense of “I seem to have seen it in “Antenna ○ Bao”.”.
Aoki. In fact, when I heard from Sudo producers that B Part had to replay A Part directly, it was already scared. In fact, “POP TEAM EPIC” was originally to make a network animation of 10 to 15 points. Looking back now, it may indeed hide the foresight of the Sudo producers. (laughs).
——When I received the “POP TEAM EPIC”, did Aoki Supervisor feel pressure? Have you ever thought of “This is too messy!” .
Aoki. I have almost no pressure on this work, but when it comes to dubbing, it will be a bit nervous to face the big seiyuu. .
After all, this is a spoof of content, impromptu performances and other particularly harsh works for seiyuu, but everyone has a tolerant heart, which also makes me feel relieved. .
——The idea that A Part and B Part use different seiyuu is also thought out by Ms. Yu and Sudo producers? By the way, how many vocal candidates are available for the original POP and PIPI? .
Aoki. It is. However, because I did not participate in the work of selecting seiyuu, I am not sure about this. .
——Before I heard that Teacher Yu knows seiyuu well, Aoki Supervisor? .
Aoki. Unfortunately, I don’t know about seiyuu… but I learned it while doing animation, so I understand a little. .
However, at the production site, whenever there is a new seiyuu message, the community will have a heated discussion. .
——What interesting things are there at the dubbing scene? .
Aoki. There are so many interesting things, but not many. The dubbing scene is very happy, and every time we will laugh together. .
——Before I saw in a seiyuu program, the recording console of POP TEAM EPIC is completely blank in some place. This is the part that requires seiyuu to perform impromptu performance. Is the improvisational line completely handed over to seiyuu? .
Aoki. In fact, the part of the impromptu performance is based on seiyuu, and some can be completely handed over to them, but in some parts we will actually do some guidance and let the seiyuu himself “process” a little. .
—— In the second part of the real shot, this did not expect seiyuu and even the sudo producers to show their faces, too much, this is also the proposal of the teacher? .
AokiThe original idea was that we had done our best because of the first words, so the second words took out the state of “nothing to do”, and the various collapsed pictures… This idea was proposed by Mizusaki. Since it is better to make the seiyuu angry and angry, and let the audience see it in the form of a real shot in the studio, this idea was proposed by me. Then, if this is still bad, I will say “I must have known you already”, ignore the ghost, and then pull the picture to the POP and PIPI under the sofa. This idea was proposed by the teacher. .
The Sudo producer is a very “loving person”, so he volunteered to play the role of being seiyuu. .
——Since the second sentence is mentioned, by the way, the image of the “Brave” is in the spoof of the “Sword ○ domain” in the Tong ○? I remember that if it was correct, Aoki’s younger brother, Aoki Yu, also participated in the design and original painting of “Swords and Spheres”. Of course, this is my personal association. Aoki. I don’t know if this image is spoofing Tong ○, but this character is the one that my brother painted, and he was instructed to draw a more realistic animated character and ask for an unfinished picture. .

Aoki. Because I and my brother are good at the field and the main battlefield, I did not think about the two together to do animation. .

——The paintings of 3DCG and Space Neko Company of Kamikaze Animation are very cute! My personal words are more like painting than 3DCG! Aoki. The Concept is all about making the best grunge animation. .
Meimu’s Meimu Supervisor first produced the main visual map of POP TEAM EPIC and the character design of 3D modeling. I and other participating creators reprocessed on the basis of Meimu’s supervised design. . .
——So the role of the Space Neko Company is written by Aoki Supervisor. .
Aoki Exactly. If you are interested in comparing the design of the Kamikaze animation and the Space Neko Company’s character, you may find that not only the movements of the mouth, but also the shape of the bow on the PIPI head are not the same. .
——How do the two supervisors usually communicate? Don’t quarrel. .
Aoki. Will not (laugh). We will first sort out the respective responsibilities, and we will come up with their own opinions and suggestions at the script meeting, and then we will start making them. We will not interfere with the parts produced by the other party on the way. This is very prudent. . .
——So the other animation writers don’t know each other’s content? Are everyone separated when discussing? .
Aoki. Yes, the creators of each link are basically not aware of the other people’s responsible parts, and we will not tell them, I hope they concentrate on doing their own work. Therefore, the time of negotiation is completely separate. .
——What part of your own particulars are you particularly interested in? .

—— Have you been watching animations and comics recently? .
Aoki. In the 1 and a half years of making “POP TEAM EPIC”, I was really busy and half dead. I didn’t have time to watch animations and comics. The movie didn’t pay attention to it, so I might start to make up the class. .
——Why have you seen Chinese animations, how do you feel? .
Aoki Occasionally when I turn on the TV, I will see the work “Foxboy Little Matchmaker”, I saw it a little. The character design and atmosphere are a bit like the Japanese animation of the past, and I look very nostalgic. .
There is also a short animation “Kung Fu Cuisine” that was recommended by acquaintances some time ago, and was shocked by this superb painting technique and uniqueness. .
